Who is Wise and Understanding?

I have often thought that you can identify wise people by listening carefully to what they say.  Do they sound smart, so smart I can barely understand them?  They always have a quick, certain answer.  They just sound wise.

The Bible says you identify a wise person by what he does.

“Who is wise and understanding among you?  Let him show by good conduct that is works are done in the meekness of wisdom … wisdom that is from above is first pure, peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy, and good fruits, without partiality and without hypocrisy”  (James 3:13-18).

That is what a wise person looks like and sounds like.  By God’s standard, who among us today is wise?  Am I?
