Long Lists of Bible Genealogies — WHY?

As you read the Bible you come across long lists of ancestors and descendants.  Most of the names are of people we do not know or care about.  How are they useful to me?  They are chronologies maintained through centuries in many different documents by many different people.  They show the Bible to be a detailed, accurate record of real people in history.  The genealogies make the Bible credible.  Would you like to hear more about Bible genealogies and how they can strengthen your faith?
